The program targets science and technology based startups in Morocco and will provide knowledge resources towards towards market readiness and globalization.
The United States Department of State Global Innovations through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative, in partnership with VentureWell and [email protected], will host a master class to support science- based startups in Casablanca, Morocco. This one-day workshop will enable science and technology innovators in Morocco to scale their startups and their impact.
The GIST initiative empowers young innovators through networking, skills building, mentoring, and access to financing to develop startup solutions that address economic and development challenges. Through this GIST Masterclass, Moroccan innovators will build their skills to identify customers, expand to other markets, and engage investors. The workshop will be taught by Dr. Agostinho Almeida in collaboration with DEMO Africa and will take place on October 17, 2018.
Since 2011, GIST has engaged with science and technology innovators and entrepreneurs in 136 emerging economies around the world, providing training and resources to help them build successful startups. This is done through competitions, startup trainings, and interactive online programs, implemented by AAAS, Global Entrepreneurship Network, VentureWell.
